    thats wonderful!

it really is like this for everyone. you struggle for a little while just grasping how to get the first 2 pieces down.

once you nail it - there isn't a block you won't be able to paper piece

Norbana, thanks for the info, I still don't know what to do but will get my G-son to help me. I saved your instructions for him.

Martha jo, I finally wrote a note to myself and stuck it on my cutting board. It says, 'Put the wrong side of the material on the wrong side of the printed page'! That's for the first piece and then the rest just fall into place. Works for me!

Thanks to everyone, I pieced my first block tonight. It is not up to snuff but I get it. Will start over with my chosen fabric when my paper finally arrives. I was usiing 25 lb tonight and it is too thick on small pieces.

Sorry about having to download it.
That's awesome!! You've done so many it looks seriously cool! I can't wait to get to that stage.

I hope you don't mind, I transferred it to a jpg so that everyone could see, I know some people on slow internet connections have problems with downloads.
    Wow!! It is looking awesome!

    Welcome sunwest!

Nor - Awesome!! Your quilt is beautiful!

I actually made my very first block. I started yesterday and planned to finish it and another one today but I've been feeling punky and only finished the one. I keep hoping my background fabric will show up so I don't have to remake too many of them. Until it does, the blocks I make will all be practice blocks. Still, it's done and I'm posting it to prove I did it. ;)
